4. It's Winter at Funky Monkey'Ville and The Christmas Desires Hunt 2

*Raises his cup of hot chocolate*  Hey there! It's time for a quick update on what's been going on here at Funky Monkey'Ville.  

It is safe to say that winter is here as the sim is covered in a beautiful blanket of white.  Perfect for ice skating on the pond, wandering the roads enjoyomh the scenery and taking pictures!  As always, everyone is invited to come to the sim to hang out, explore and enjoy yourself!

Also, The Christmas Desires Hunt 2 started on December 5th and runs through to the 30th.  Ty'd and True Poses is participating and we have a great family pose (seen below) as our prize...for just 1L!  Click HERE to come to our store and get it while you can.  Just look for the small wreath that prize is hidden in.

This photo was taken on our sim near the Christmas tree lot by the barn.  If you are a member of the group, you can use your new pose here also to catch a moment your family will treasure.

3. We are Thankful @ Funky Monkey'ville

We are enjoying the last few weeks of fall at Funky Monkey'ville.   With all the excitement of winter on the horizon, we decided to make a little area to dedicate as our "Thankful Spot".  

We've set out an amazing family feast and adorable little sitting area for you to enjoy.    The "Thankful Spot" is a very picturesque setting for your fall photos.    But you better hurry... 'cause I feel the winter winds sweeping thru and it won't be long til it is ice and snow and mistletoe!

2. Halloween Party and Grand Opening...October 28th!

It's Party Time!

Well, Lavi has been working hard getting the line up together and the sim is all decorated and ready for visitors.  It seems like the perfect time for a party to celebrate Halloween and the grand opening of the sim!  With live music and DJ's, there is something for everyone and a whole day's worth of fun...

Don't forget to wear a costume though and you could win a prize.

I know what you are thinking:  "That's not until tomorrow.  What will I do until then?"  Well, here are a couple of ideas:

The Haunted House @ Funky Monkey'ville

 This is the handy work of our daugher, Kayden.  Come have a stroll through this creepy haunted house and it's even kiddie safe!  Mostly.

The Haunted Maze @ Krazy Kritters 

If flying blood and things jumping out at you are more your speed, try this haunted house maze on for size.  You have to find the hidden trigger in each room before moving on to the next.  And these rooms are twisted and disturbed...in a good way!

The Pumpkin Patch @ Chimeric Arts & Fashions  

Finally, if want some relaxing family time.  This pumpkin patch is your ticket!  You can pick pumpkins from the vine and even carve and light up a face on it...and it's free to do!  There is also a haunted house and potion game with mushrooms.

What is Funky Monkey'Ville?

Hello and welcome to the blog for our new sim: Funky Monkey'Ville.

Funky Monkey'Ville is the realization of my SL dream to create a place where people can visit, explore, socialize, enjoy good music and good friends.  With this in mind, we have created an engaging village area to house shops and special events, a picturesque landscape full of areas to cuddle or take that perfect photo, and, most importantly, a home for us and for you, whether you choose to rent a cottage or just become one of the tribe!

But, who am I?  I'm Lavindia Jewell-Kyger!  The official tour guide, resident photographer, event planner and all around lover of all things Monkey!  Let me tell you more about our wonderful new sim...

The Village

Upon arrival to Funky Monkey'ville you will find yourself at the entrance to the village square. There is lots to discover in this little village.  There is a game house for you and your friends to hang out and play some greedy or many other games, wander through the buildings or just hang out in the square.  The square will be hosting music events, fashion shows, art exhibits, and so much more!  Oh, so many plans!

If you are looking for poses, a photographer or land of your own, we have you covered there too.  The village houses the following shops:

A Picturesque Landscape Full of Opportunity

When you are done exploring the village, grab a bike at the entrance and take to the trails. The trails filled with little hidden areas for you to cuddle up with that special someone, play with your family or just find some alone time away from it all. As the seasons change so will our landscape and decorations. I for one can't wait til the pond freezes over and the ice skating and hot chocolate drinking begins.
